Connect AffiliateBase to Claude

Connect Claude to an AffiliateBase account with a remote MCP connector, review access, and ask about setup and affiliate program performance.

Connect Claude to an AffiliateBase account to review setup progress, tracking, affiliates, referrals, commissions, and payouts. You sign in to AffiliateBase and approve access. Claude never receives your AffiliateBase password. New Claude connections are read-only.

What Claude can access

Claude can read setup status and installation instructions, campaign and affiliate information, referrals, commissions, payouts, and dashboard totals. Affiliate contact or ban details should be provided only when you specifically ask for them.

Claude can read setup progress and tracking status, but it cannot change setup or mark tracking confirmed. It also cannot pay affiliates, change commissions or billing, create promo codes, or manage your team.

The connector only accesses the AffiliateBase account you select in the consent screen. An account owner or admin can revoke it at any time in AffiliateBase under Settings → AI connectors. If you connected Claude before this read-only access change, disconnect the old connection and reconnect to replace its existing permissions. Existing connections are not changed automatically.

Before you start

  • You need to be an owner or admin of the AffiliateBase account you want to connect.
  • Claude must be able to reach AffiliateBase at https://app.affiliatebase.io/mcp.
  • On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an organization owner may need to add custom connectors before members can connect.

Connect with a custom remote connector

Use these steps to connect AffiliateBase by its server URL:

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors under Customize.
  2. Select + Add → Add custom connector.
  3. Enter AffiliateBase as the connector name.
  4. Enter this server URL and continue: https://app.affiliatebase.io/mcp.
  5. Review the detected authentication settings. Choose Sign in now.
  6. Under OAuth client, choose Register automatically so Claude registers its public client with AffiliateBase.
  7. Select Add. If the connector is not signed in yet, select Connect to continue to AffiliateBase.
  8. Sign in if needed, choose the AffiliateBase account, review the access request, and approve it.
  9. Start a conversation and ask about your affiliate program. Under + → Connectors, confirm AffiliateBase is enabled. Approve the requested read tools when Claude asks.

For Team or Enterprise plans, an organization owner may first add the remote connector under Organization settings → Connectors. Members can then connect to it from Customize → Connectors.

  • “Summarize commission amounts by affiliate and currency. Is the breakdown complete?”
  • “How much commission is due right now?”
  • “Which payouts are still pending?”

Manage or disconnect

To disconnect from AffiliateBase, open Settings → AI connectors, find Claude, and revoke the connection. Access stops immediately. Removing the connector from Claude also disconnects it there.

If you no longer have an owner or admin role in AffiliateBase, the connection stops working after the access token expires and Claude will need an authorized user to reconnect.

Troubleshooting

  • Claude cannot connect: Confirm the server URL is exactly https://app.affiliatebase.io/mcp and start the connection again.
  • The wrong AffiliateBase user is signed in: Use Not you? Sign out on the consent screen, then retry.
  • The wrong AffiliateBase account is selected: Reconnect and select the intended account in the consent screen.
  • Access was revoked: Reconnect Claude from Customize → Connectors and approve the AffiliateBase account again.
