Configure your AffiliateBase organization settings

Account Settings

Manage your AffiliateBase organization settings, branding, and program configuration. This guide covers all available settings.

Accessing Settings

  1. Click Settings in the navigation
  2. Choose the settings category:
    • General
    • Affiliate
    • Team Members
    • Subscription

General Settings

Organization Name

Your program’s display name:

  • Shows in affiliate communications
  • Appears in affiliate portal
  • Used in email templates

To update:

  1. Go to SettingsGeneral
  2. Edit Organization Name
  3. Save changes

Upload your logo for branding:

  • Used in affiliate portal
  • Appears in email communications
  • Recommended: Square format, PNG or SVG

To upload:

  1. Go to SettingsGeneral
  2. Click Upload Logo
  3. Select your image file
  4. Save

Stripe Connection

Manage your Stripe integration:

  • View connection status
  • Reconnect if needed
  • See connected account info

Status indicators:

  • Connected: Integration active
  • Disconnected: Needs reconnection
  • Error: Issue with connection

Affiliate Program Settings

Payout Configuration

Payout Method Select available payment methods:

  • PayPal (Starter+ plans)
  • Wise (Starter+ plans)
  • Manual

Minimum Payout Amount Set threshold before payouts are created:

  • Default: $5
  • Recommended: $25-50 to balance fees and affiliate satisfaction

Display Currency Choose your primary currency:

  • Affects dashboard displays
  • Used in affiliate portal
  • Matches your Stripe currency

Self-Referral Prevention

Prevent affiliates from earning on their own purchases:

  1. Go to SettingsAffiliate
  2. Enable Self-referral detection
  3. Save

When enabled:

  • System checks if customer email matches affiliate
  • Self-referrals blocked
  • No commission created

Default Campaign

Set which campaign new affiliates join:

  1. Go to SettingsAffiliate
  2. Select Default Campaign
  3. Save

New affiliates automatically assigned to this campaign.

Affiliate Portal Settings

Custom Subdomain

Create a branded affiliate portal URL:

yourcompany.affiliatebase.com

To configure:

  1. Go to SettingsAffiliatePortal Settings
  2. Enter your preferred subdomain
  3. Save and verify

Upload a logo specifically for the affiliate portal:

  • Can differ from main company logo
  • Displays on affiliate login/dashboard
  • Recommended: Horizontal format

Branding Options

Customize portal appearance:

  • Show “Powered by AffiliateBase”: Toggle attribution badge
  • More customization options coming soon

Email Settings

Notification Configuration

Control which emails are sent:

To Affiliates:

  • Invitation emails
  • Commission earned notifications
  • Payout notifications

To You:

  • New affiliate signups
  • Large commission alerts
  • System notifications

Configure in SettingsEmail (coming soon)

Notification Preferences

Admin Notifications

Set what you want to be notified about:

  • New affiliate applications
  • High-value conversions
  • Payout processing
  • System alerts

Email Frequency

Choose notification timing:

  • Instant (each event)
  • Daily digest
  • Weekly summary

Campaign Management

Viewing Campaigns

  1. Go to Campaigns in navigation
  2. See all active campaigns
  3. Click to edit details

Campaign Settings

Each campaign has:

  • Name: Descriptive name
  • Commission Rate: Percentage or fixed amount
  • Minimum Payout: Override organization default
  • Attribution Window: Days before referrals expire
  • Privacy: Public or invite-only

Creating Campaigns

  1. Go to Campaigns
  2. Click New Campaign
  3. Configure settings
  4. Save

Use multiple campaigns for:

  • Different products
  • Different commission structures
  • Partner-specific programs
  • Seasonal promotions

Security Settings

Password & Authentication

Manage your login security:

  • Change password
  • Enable two-factor authentication (coming soon)
  • View login history

Session Management

  • View active sessions
  • Log out of other devices
  • Session timeout settings

Danger Zone

Deleting Your Organization

Warning: This action is irreversible.

To delete:

  1. Go to SettingsGeneral
  2. Scroll to Danger Zone
  3. Click Delete Organization
  4. Confirm by typing organization name
  5. Confirm deletion

What gets deleted:

  • All affiliates and invitations
  • All referrals and conversions
  • All commissions and payouts
  • Campaign configurations
  • Team member access

What’s NOT deleted:

  • Your Stripe data (separate account)
  • Historical payment records in Stripe
  • Your personal AffiliateBase account

Best Practices

Regular Review

Periodically review:

  • Commission rates (competitive?)
  • Payout thresholds (appropriate?)
  • Team member access (current?)
  • Campaign performance (optimize?)

Documentation

Keep records of:

  • Setting changes
  • Commission rate adjustments
  • Policy decisions
  • Affiliate communications

Backup

Before major changes:

  • Export affiliate data
  • Document current settings
  • Note commission rates

Troubleshooting

Can’t Save Settings

  1. Check for validation errors
  2. Ensure required fields complete
  3. Verify you have admin permissions
  4. Try refreshing the page

Settings Not Taking Effect

  1. Allow a few minutes for propagation
  2. Clear browser cache
  3. Log out and back in
  4. Contact support if persists

Missing Settings Options

Some options require:

  • Higher plan tier
  • Admin role permissions
  • Feature activation
